About Us

Our organisation is a registered charity in New Zealand owned by a charitable trust.

By law, all profits that we make must be distributed to a very small set of beneficiaries that basically encompass other charities operating in New Zealand, or third parties engaged in charitable work.

Our name Mission Technologies recognises that we evelop technological products, and that our organisation is devoted to mission towards others. We have a special burden for the people in third world countries, and want to try and make their lives better.

We, the directors, believe the commandment hat Jesus gave us to "love one another as I have loved you". This principle is incorporated in the legal documents that define Misssion Technologies, and underpins our working ethos. The company constitution also includes the Nicene Creed.

We have dreams. One day we want to move into alternative energy: wind, water and solar.
We want to see how to apply technology to help in the 3rd world, and we have a lot
of ideas - but unfortunately limited time and energy. We would like to ask you to
pray for us, that we will truly do the Lord's bidding and give all Glory to Him, and
that Mission Technologies will be blessed in doing His work. Thank you. Amen.

Right now we are re-focussing our business model to be more hands-off:
we just don't have the time.

As part of that we will be uploading more, and wider ranges of original material. We have signed up with Google to advertise on our site. We get paid for every click on the adverts, and also for each download of Firefox (which is worth several thousand advert clicks!).
